Three years ago, INCOSE started the development of a initiative to enhance and strengthen the Organization’s Leadership by developing and providing a training program. The program’s purpose is to accelerate the development of systems engineering leaders who will exemplify the best of our organization and our profession. Its primary benefits are the development of individual members as capable leaders, which benefits the involved members. INCOSE benefits include growing a pool of leaders, which can be used to help lead the Organization. Another intended outcome is hopefully to enhance INCOSE’s International reputation in systems engineering.
Karl will provide an overview of the initiative and explain the requirements to become part of the program, then address questions. Applicants must be nominated by an INCOSE leader and submit an application package that includes: 1) Nominating letter from an INCOSE Board Member, Director, Assistant Director or Chapter President , 2) Letter of recommendation and support from candidate’s home organization, including recognition of the required two-year commitment, 3) Personal statement describing the expected benefits to the candidate, his or her organization, and INCOSE, 4) Resume describing positions held and specific systems engineering accomplishments.
