Jay Tracy won an INCOSE Junior Award which comes with a $25 and a certificate which will be presented at our March luncheon tentatively which is being planned. Jay project “Invisible Aircraft” dealt with optimizing different shapes and then different surfaces to minimize optical reflectance.  Jay goes to Spring Ridge Middle School.  Jay also won the first place in the Junior Physics and Astronomy category.  It is not known if he will continue on to the Prince Georges Area Science Fair March 16-18.

  1. Jay already knows more about stealth technology than I do. It was very interesting to hear how he was able to measure the reflectance of various shapes in his flat black box. I believe he also won a Science Fair board award for the use of inexpensive materials.

  2. I was at the Prince George’s Area Science Fair and Jay Tracy did gread! He won special awards: 1st Place American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), Broadcom Masters Society for Science and the Public, Optical Society of America National Capitol Section & IEEE Photonics Society, Washington, N. Va. Chapter along with a 1st Place in Junior Physics and Astronomy category.
